In the early year of A.C 1800, a Chinese from fuzhuo and quangdong,when they migrate to Penang Georgetown, mostly they will stay at this street, and they were name these street was "KONG FOK QUI HUNG" (a name pronounce in Cantonese), it means Quangdong people and Fuzhou people stay street. After Malaysia has independent in the year of 1957,this street were rename is as LORONG PASAR because this lane is nearby market until today.
